Creating paper using recycled pulp and plant matter has been a fascination of mine for a few years now, the elements of pulp, plant and light come together in such a striking way.. the glow is otherworldly. I have started to use soy wax to coat/pattern my paper in order to create more transparency - allowing the fibres to come to life and sing.

Often when I find a plant/material that I would like to incorporate into paper, I will gradually collect enough over time, making sure I am only taking from abundance and once it is no longer integral to its environment (once flowers have fallen and therefore are no longer of use to pollinators etc) this creates an intimacy and admiration for the materials I am using, reminding me of how reliant I am to these natural sources.
